The NC Apple Festival and Street Fair covers nine blocks in Downtown Hendersonville's Historic Main Street extending from 6th Avenue to Caswell Street. On Labor Day, folks gather for the King Apple Parade, one of the highlights of the NC Apple Festival. The annual parade is a local favorite tradition which includes professional floats, bands, youth groups, antique cars, fire trucks, youth groups, and bands. This year's King Apple Parade wil be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.
